Private and Non-Profit Designer Eyeglasses Partnerships

Interested in hearing about how some designer eyeglasses are giving back to the community? It seems that a newer trend is for eyewear brands to give to non-profits.

We are not sure whether this is for noble purposes, or to better build good-will, however we do  hope that this is a trend that continues. Hopefully these efforts will inspire competitions among rival brands.

The designer eyeglasses brand USA Eyewear had partnered with National Organization of Minorities to raise awareness of the importance of eye care health. The new designer eyeglasses manager said the non-profit was just the sort of organization that they were looking to work with. These private and non-profit partnerships seem to work very well.

Modo Designer Eyeglasses

The primary announcement was of an event that the organizations would be co-hosting. Last year this large event and organization brought in hundreds of people. It was fantastic awareness for the designer eyeglasses company.

During the event, the designer eyeglasses company gave away free frames. The business also gave free eye eye care health education and some retro eyeglasses throughout the event. They did this by distributing eyeglasses frames material including its new special brochure. We have yet to hear a comment from other designer eyeglasses brands in the industry, although the company has already received some requests from several news organizations. We look forward to seeing more events such as this from designer eyeglasses brands.

New Markets For Designer Eyeglasses Brands

A number of successful designer eyeglasses brands appear to be looking to new markets for expansion. Some larger brands, for example Gucci eyeglasses, have had a lot of success with their brand extensions in the past.

What is surprising about the actions some designer brands are taking is that they are not expanding into other fashion verticals. Instead, they are looking to move into the furniture industry.

Earlier this month we heard that the organization Optimal Optics would be creating designer furniture. Although these aren’t designer eyeglasses, the items should bring good publicity to the company.

New Designer Eyeglasses

One of the benefits of this pursuit is that the furniture industry is known to have very high profit margins, which should bold well for the designer eyeglasses brand. The furniture styles include the same design as the recent designer eyeglasses by the company.

In many ways, it is interesting to see these designer eyeglasses designs in other areas. We have not seen something like this before. The nice looking chairs include the same design stitched on other areas of the furniture. Both the designer eyeglasses and the chairs can be purchased throughout the country.

To help brand the designer eyeglasses collection, magazines showing the items and a short film titled can be purchased. The companies don’t have the same budget as some larger companies, for example Ralph Lauren glasses. A purchaser can choose between two cases with the designer eyeglasses. Each The designer eyeglasses are fairly expensive. It is known for its unique approach to design and innovative color combinations. The business has been international for a number of years.

North American Designer Eyeglasses

Want to hear about announcements that have been going on in the designer eyeglasses world? There have been many this past week.

First, Altair and Tommy Bahama, which are two companies based in North America, have decided to work together for the following 5 years. We had heard that negotiations had been occurring for several months, and much of the focus had been on upcoming lines.

Designer Eyeglasses

The designer eyeglasses company initially released the Tommy Bahama optical and sunwear collection five years ago to independent eyecare doctors, Tommy Bahama retail locations, specialty retailers and resorts. Although Tommy Bahama does not receive as much coverage as brands such as Ralph Lauren glasses, it continues to be profitable year after year.

There was other news with some large designer eyeglasses players. Coach and Luxottica Group agreed to designer eyeglasses licensing agreement for the production and distribution of the sun and eyeglass frames with the Coach starting in a few years.

The Coach designer eyeglasses collections will be sold at Coach stores throughout the country, select department stores in Untied States, and select airports throughout the world. We will be seeing the first collection in the upcoming year.

Lastly, we just heard that Signature Eyewear launches a new designer eyeglasses collection by Dakota Smith. Targeted to a younger generation, the designer eyeglasses feature memory metal and 180-degree spring hinges at a nice price point. We are expecting this line to do very well.

Health Campaigns From Designer Eyeglasses

In recent years, we have seen non-profit eyewear organizations receive great press. This past week was an example of this.

Last week, the Consider Your Eyes campaign launched its first television and radio advertisements to start it’s two year campaign. The movement is designed to educate Americans about the importance of annual eye exams.

Only a small percentage of Americans receive very vital annual check-ups. This movement will not only help Americans across the country, but it is also important for the designer eyeglasses industry. Having more people visit eyewear stores is a great way to increase sales of designer eyeglasses.

Round Designer Eyeglasses

If you have not seen one of the designer eyeglasses advertisements, they are running in nine cities across the United States. Designer eyeglasses fans should take notice of the campaign.

The advertisements are about several different eye issues, educating consumers on topics ranging from eye disease to visual fatigue. These are all issues that designer eyeglasses wearers should know of. There are also a number of websites focused on health issues and designer eyeglasses.

Supporters can also connect with Think About Your Eyes through its new social media channels on Facebook and Twitter. It will be interesting to see how companies interact on these networks.

Social media activities will expand in the coming months as the Coalition prepares to execute major public awareness events, the first of which took place in New York City last month. Essilor, Luxottica and VSP Global make up the Consider Your Eyes Coalition. It’s great to see retro eyeglasses partner in this way.

More Designer Eyeglasses In The News

Interested in hearing about designer eyeglasses in the news? There were some exciting announcements this past week.

First, we heard about a partnership between a designer eyeglasses brand and a television show. It seems like partnerships are becoming more and more popular nowadays.

This past week designer eyeglasses company Transitions Optical partnered with Erik Estrada of the famed ’70s TV show “CHiPs” to educate consumers about the importance of healthy eyecare and designer eyeglasses. Although the show ended many years ago, Erik remains a star today. It is great to see celebrities and eyewear brands collaborate in this manner.

Designer Eyeglasses

This was not all of the great news in designer eyeglasses this past week. Luxottica Group and Bulgari, a leading global player in the luxury market and known for its jewels, watches, accessories and perfumes, announced a 10-year extension of their license agreement for the design and worldwide distribution of eyeglasses frames and sunglasses under the Bulgari brand. The new agreement will last for close to 10 years.

Elsewhere, in California a designer eyeglasses brand  entered into a collaboration agreement with recording artist and music icon Mary J.. The two brands agreed to develop Melodies by MJB which is a signature line of round eyeglasses. We are expecting big things from this collection. A second more collection of designer eyeglasses will be released next year.

NYC Hosting Designer Eyeglasses Events

One of the great benefits of living in NYC is the wide array of events you can attend. This is certainly true if you are involved in the designer eyeglasses industry.

These past months we experienced some great events in the Big Apple. One of the highlights was Sàfilo USA and the Solstice Sunglass Boutique events. The two brands recently hosted an intimate designer eyeglasses cocktail party at their Fifth Avenue location, and the event was certainly star-studded.

Many celebrities and reality TV personalities went to the event to take a look at the new collections. The event was a who’s who of fashion.

Designer Eyeglasses

One of the neat aspects of the event was that all guests were given a pair of designer eyeglasses of their choosing. It is not all events that can afford luxuries such as this.

Familiar faces such as residents Olivia Palermo and Whitney Port, actresses Olivia Munn and Maria Bello, and Philip Bloch were at the event to try on the designer eyeglasses. It was certainly a treat to guests to receive free designer eyeglasses.

This was not all of the great news that we heard this past week. In other news, a new eyeglasses frames website was just released. Transitions Optical relaunched their new website. Clearly a lot of resources were put into this relaunch.

The designer eyeglasses site’s new design and interactive content are intended to help visitors better understand how Transitions SolFx sun lenses differ from traditional, fixed-tint eyeglasses frames.

Lastly, in exciting news Madonna has agreed to team up with Dolce and Gabbana to collaborate on a stylish designer eyeglasses collection. Madonna fans should take a look at the great new styles. MDG launched six designer eyeglasses this month. This is the pop-diva’s first foray into the world of eyewear and will be manufactured by Luxottica.

We will keep you updated with more on designer eyeglasses news.

European Designer Eyeglasses

Here are some great looking designer eyeglasses that were just released from Europe. The company is called Western States Eyewear, and the brand just released a great looking collection.

The line is called the TR-90 designer eyeglasses collection, and although it only includes 4 different eyeglasses frames, we are betting that this brand will be a success.

Designer Eyeglasses

Unlike most designer eyeglasses, the frames in this collection feature a model front combined with TR-90 temples. TR-90 is a very durable material that is unusually flexible and lightweight. A variety of feminine round eyeglasses shapes are available in a range of sizes suitable for both younger adults and older adults. The colors in this collection are what will really stand out. If you wear one of these designer eyeglasses in this collection, you will surely stand out from the crowd.

The company stands by their few principles. They want to create a bright, colorful frame that women will enjoy wearing. Unlike other brands, this company is only targeting the female market. There is a fair amount of marketing that has occurred. Merchandising materials include countercards and a four-place display. The line is also being in a popular marketing campaign, which should be great for publicity.

The designer eyeglasses are fairly expensive. It isn’t as expensive as the highest retro eyeglasses, but it isn’t inexpensive either. For additional information, you should take a look at the company’s website.

Inventor’s Role In Designer Eyeglasses World

Although many people may not have heard of Stein, he has played a large role in the formation of designer eyeglasses. In fact, some of the inventions directly played a role in inspiring some of the current fashion brands.

The story of Stein’s designer eyeglasses is an interesting one. Stein started his life with humble beginnings. Few would have guessed that he would play such an important role in the designer eyeglasses world.

Many few years ago Stein was approached by an eyeglass frames company to design a collection of designer eyeglasses. This design was particularly unique, so unique that the collection was actually patented.

Designer Eyeglasses

After this was complete, Stein decided the next concept he created would be patented under his own name. Stein was inspired by this experience, and saw the opportunities that existed. All of this process led him to invent the magnetic clip system.

At the time, he wanted to sell a clip-on for designer eyeglasses because he saw its value. It was easier for him to sell than a second designer eyeglasses pair and it was a good value add-on. The benefits to the eyeglasses frames were that it could make that increase at the point of sale. Unfortunately, the issue was that this became a situation where everything that could go wrong did go wrong. He realized that there was a better solution.

After he realized this, he went back into the designer eyeglasses lab armed with his tools. In many ways, this was a fluke accident. This all led to his great contributions to designer eyeglasses.
